Feel free to contact us via live help. Happy to help

Search using name, date of birth or previous address.

Our first advice search for them on Facebook. You might just find them, however if you send them a message then most likely they will not see it. First you have to add them as a friend then send them a message, or post on their wall. You could even comment on one of their posts so they see it.

if you can not find them then find friends or family of theirs on Facebook. Check their friend's list to see if the person you want to find is there.

Another option is to search 192.com. Just enter their name and see what you get. if you have an approx. age, place of residence or who they live with then you have a better chance of getting the match. To search with other occupants at the same address choose "advanced" then enter both names. This is a good option because you can search before you pay.

The Third option is the option with the most success. It's a search that we offer. We can search by using a date of birth, part of a date of birth, a previous address, or a mobile number, however it's not instant like 192. it can take 1-5 working days. If it's urgent order then contact us and we will Fastrack. We offer 2 options - a basic trace and an advanced trace. Click here to view our own trace.

Fourth option search for their name + work in Google to try to find their linkedin profile.

Fifth option find a relative with an uncommon name then asl them if they can tell you where the person is.

Sixth option contact us via live help and ask us a question. We will be happy to give you advise and save you time.

Mini project ideas for locate a person UK

If you only have a name and need to gather more information so you can choose one of the options above.

Obtain the person's birth certificate using the findmypast link above. Get the date of birth. If it's a male use option 2 to carry out a trace. If it's a female use option 2 if last contact was after 1996. If contact was before 1996 check findmypast marriage records to find marriage record and spouse details then use option 1 or 2 to carry out a 2 name search.

If you have an old address before 1996 search the address via the local library or history centre in that area and find out who was living at the address. All the occupants.

On findmypast find the birth record, then look at maiden name and carry out a search using surname and maiden name in the same area. It may reveal siblings. If you are looking for a female it might be easier to find a male sibling.

Also if you do get the birth certificate you can use the names of parents to find their address then contact them if they know where the person is.

You can even join facebook groups for the workplace or school/college and put a messgae up if they know where the person is.
