Find someone

Find someone.

Either find someone through social media or find their actual current address.

If you want to find someone, and don't need an actual address. Then you should try:

1) Find someone via Facebook.

Try to search for their profile on facebook. If there are too many matches then google the name + area, town, city and see if the Google match takes you directly to the actual profile.

Also try searching for their name and any work information in Google to see if a Linkedin match is shown.

2) Find someone by asking old freinds, acquantaines if they kno0w where they are. Another option is to find a friend or relative on Facebook, a name which is not common,l then check their friends list to see if the someone is on their friends list. This has worked on many occasions. You then check the picture and see if it matches.

Mini project ideas for find someone

If you only have a name and need to gather more information so you can choose one of the options above.

Obtain the person's birth certificate using the findmypast link above. Get the date of birth. If it's a male use option 2 to carry out a trace. If it's a female use option 2 if last contact was after 1996. If contact was before 1996 check findmypast marriage records to find marriage record and spouse details then use option 1 or 2 to carry out a 2 name search.

If you have an old address before 1996 search the address via the local library or history centre in that area and find out who was living at the address. All the occupants.

On findmypast find the birth record, then look at maiden name and carry out a search using surname and maiden name in the same area. It may reveal siblings. If you are looking for a female it might be easier to find a male sibling.

Also if you do get the birth certificate you can use the names of parents to find their address then contact them if they know where the person is.

You can even join facebook groups for the workplace or school/college and put a messgae up if they know where the person is.

Then if still stuck send us what you have via live help and we will advise you.
